Senzorické vlastnosti sladiny
Piechová, Hana
Beer foaminess is one of the main sensory properties of beer. Polypeptides have a positive effect on foam formation, while lipids have a negative effect. The wort contains both types of substances, but it does not foam by itself due to a lack of carbon dioxide. The aim of the thesis is to find out whether there is any influence of a particular variety and year on the foaminess of the wort. 14 varieties of spring malting barley were monitored at nine locations from the harvest between the years 2020 and 2022. The foaming of the wort was measured on a 1-CUBE type FA device at the Research Institute of Brewing and Malting (Výzkumný ústav pivovarský a sladařský, a. s.). The found foaminess values of the wort were clearly influenced by 30% by year and by 33% by variety. What is statistically significant is that the lowest foaming rate of the varieties was found in the 2020 harvest. The average stability of the wort foaming was 170 s and for individual varieties it ranged from 111–220 s. The statistically significantly lowest foaming stability of the wort was observed in the Overture and KWS Amadora varieties, the highest values of the wort foaming were found in the LG Ester and Spitfire varieties. The KWS Amadora variety showed the greatest foaming variability (70%), the LG Stamgast showed the lowest variability (18.5%). The foaminess of the wort can potentially predict the foaminess of beer.

Kužílková, Ilona
The aim of the thesis is to deal with the problematics of wheat grain quality assessment. In the literary research the anatomical structure and chemical composition of wheat grain is described. Furthermore, wheat grain baking quality requirement are characterized. The quality parameters are described in more details. In requirements, this thesis deals with the requirements of varieties registration. The experimental part of this thesis was conducted at two locations in a small-plot field experiment at the Field Experimental Station MENDELU in Žabčice. It was multi-years trial that was carried out in three growing seasons (2019/2020, 2020/2021 a 2021/2022). There were fifteen wheat varieties of a different quality evaluated. The yield of individual varieties was measured and then the baking quality parameters were evaluated. The evaluated quality parameters included: bulk density, falling number value, sedimentation value, nitrogenous substances content and wet gluten content. All quality parameters were influenced by the course of weather conditions throughout the year and also by the genotype of the variety. The content of nitrogenous substances and wet gluten was also influenced by the habitat conditions. At the same time, it was possible to observe interaction between individual factors. The highest values of quality parameters were found in varieties Butterfly, Bohemia and Genius, however the lowest values in varieties LG Orlice, RGT Sacramento and Steffi. The highest yields were achieved by varieties LG Orlice, Steffi and RGT Sacramento, while Bohemia and Butterfly obtained the lowest yields. Varieties like Balitus, LG Dita and Pirueta can be recommended for baking purposes.

Zimek, Ondřej
The aim of this diploma thesis on the topic „Influence of selected agrotechnical factors on yield and its qualiny in sugar beet“ is to focus on selected agrotechnical factors (varieties and tillage, factors that have and will have significant infuelnce on sugar beet growing in Czech republic. Data from farm trials were provided by Moravskoslezské cukrovary, s.r.o. – Hrušovany nad Jevišovkou. Data from small-plot experiments were provided by The Institute of Agrosystems and Bioclimatology of AF MENDELU from its own Field experiment station. The years 2021 and 2022 were evaluated. The observation was focuse on the trend of yield and sugar content in (pre-campaing“ sampling. The main goal was to evaluate the influence of factors on the final yield of the given locations at the end of campaign. Here the effect of variety and tillage on sugar content (%), yield (t/ha) and polarization sugar yield (t/ha) was evaluated. Regarding the infuelnce of varieties, it was found that the classic type still achieves slightly better results than the Conviso Smart variety. The influence of tillage shows at the evaluated locations that when plowing was used, sugar beet achieved better results in all parameters than when using minimalization technology.
Mycotoxicology quality of oat
PEJSAROVÁ, Hana
The aim of this work was comparison of ten varieties of oat, grown from 2009 to 2012 on the experimental plot of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice and obtain knowledge about the influence of factors (variety, season and pre-crop) on the mycotoxicological quality of oats. The presence of fungal pathogens, mainly from the genus Fusarium, and the level of selected mycotoxins (HT-2 and T-2 toxin, deoxynivalenol, nivalenol and D3G) were observed on four naked varieties and six hulled varieties. The susceptibility of individual varieties to infestation, the level of individual mycotoxins in the grain, the growth characteristics of oats evaluated during vegetation and the parameters of technological quality were compared.
Evaluation of supplementary plant preparation application effect on potato production parameters
MIČKA, Michal
The aim of the master's thesis was to evaluate the effects of the application of an auxiliary product on the production parameters of potatoes. For this purpose, a one-year small-plot experiment was established in 2022 at the experimental field in Lukavec. The varieties Ornella, Red Anna, Val Blue, and Westamyl were selected for the experiment. For this experiment, the auxiliary product Energen Fulhum Plus was applied. Energen Fulhum Plus is a modified aqueous solution of substance salts obtained by the original decomposition of technical lignosulfonate. It supports the formation of fine root hairs and, as a result, increases the use of moisture and nutrition. It also supports growth, yield, and material composition. After the harvest of the experimental plots, the yield was determined and then samples were taken for chemical analyses. From the experiment, the tuber yield, average tuber weight, starch content, starch yield, dry matter content, nitrogen content, nitrogen yield, and polyphenol content were evaluated. In the monitored year 2022, the temperature and precipitation during the period March - September were above average and it is evident from the results that all the varieties increased the tuber yield (t/ha), average tuber weight (g), starch content (%), starch yield (t/ha), nitrogen content (%) and nitrogen yield (t/ha) compared to the control after the application of the auxiliary product Energen Fulhum Plus. As for the dry matter content (%) after the application of the auxiliary product, the dry matter content increased in all varieties except the Val Blue variety, which showed a slight decrease in dry matter content. The application of the auxiliary preparation had different results for the total content of polyphenols (mg EGA/g dry matter), it increased in the varieties Westamyl and Val Blue and, on the contrary, decreased in the varieties Ornella and Red Anna.
The importance of variety in yield of table potatoes (\kur{Solanum tuberosum} L.)
ŠPLÍCHAL, Jonáš
In the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis, attention was paid to the description of the tuber potato, morphological characteristics of the potato, and the division of varieties according to the length of the growing season and according to the cooking type. In the following chapters, the growing principles and conditions of potato pro-duction, the content substances in potato tubers and the possibilities of their influ-ence by cultivation technology and breeding were defined. Equally important is the chapter devoted to the varietal variation of production and content parameters of potato tubers since the practical part of the bachelor thesis was devoted to this to-pic. For this purpose, a small-plot experiment was set up at the Lukavec site (620 m above sea level) with potato varieties Adéla, Antonia, and Rosara, and the yield parameters (total yield, proportion of tubers over 35 mm) and selected content cha-racteristics (starch and dry matter content) were monitored. The Rosara variety had the highest starch and dry matter content.
Hodnotenie vplyvu odrody na kvalitu zemiakových lupienkov
Lovás, Patrik
The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of potato variety impact on final chips sensory quality. Lab experiment was focused on three potato varieties used in INTERSNACK Choustník, a.s. production process, where dry matter, starch con-tent, reducing sugars and texture traits were evaluated. Lastly, chips´ sensory analysis made of given varieties was examined. Company secret did not let us re-veal the real names of potato varieties, so they are identified by Slovak alphabet letters: A, B, and C. The best sensory quality was measured in chips produced from B variety, characterised by suitable chemical parameters for chips processing. The other variates are suitable for chips processing as well, but the final chips´ sensory evaluation reported some irregularities, which could cause in C variety the higher content of reducing sugars, and in A variety agrotechnology issues.
